about us

The Papazafeiropoulos-Maraziotis olive mill is a family business based in the lowland village of Havario, in the wider area of Amaliada, near the sacred land of Ancient Olympia.

The natural beauty of the wider area and the inextricably linked history of the place with the olive tree were, among other things, catalytic factors for the decision of Orfeos Papazafeiropoulos in 1968 to create the first olive press with the predominant materials being stone, wood and tile. With solid foundations and excellent knowledge bequeathed to him, after his death, his son Spyridon Papazafeiropoulos decides to take over the reins of the business.

In 2000, the same love and passion for olives lead Nikolaos Maraziotis to enter the family business, wanting to make his own mark on the family's history.

Now listening to the needs of the market, the two are consolidating and expanding the family business, setting solid foundations and new goals for the future.

Orfeas Papazafeiropoulos (the youngest) bearing in mind the value of the Koroneiki variety which is the most important oil-making olive variety in Greece, resistant to the dry heat conditions of the area which is used exclusively for the production of fine quality olive oil with an excellent aroma and taste, catches the 2010 the beginning of the family business.

It begins to be active in the field of olive oil production, artfully harmonizing the knowledge, art and tradition of its pioneers with modern know-how, with the ultimate goal of continuous improvement and production of high quality olive oil. With respect for tradition and with a modern outlook, it continues the restructuring of the privately owned olive mill by constantly investing in the modernization of the building and mechanical equipment of the olive oil production unit
